Nestled in the stunning Forest of Bowland on the banks of The River Wyre, the beautiful, relaxing surroundings offer the dream location to unwind, and our expertly handcrafted lodges are well equipped and designed to add a touch of luxury to any stay.
Situated just a short drive from the stunning Lake District, the vibrant heritage city of Lancaster, and family favourite Blackpool, with the serene Trough of Bowland and the Forest of Bowland on our doorstep, there’s plenty to see and do! Explore the majestic fells, delve into local history, or enjoy classic fish and chips on the beach, followed by a trip to the zoo.

Lodges
We have a variety of holiday lodges at Bowland Lakes, providing the perfect opportunity to add a touch of luxury to your rural getaway. Featuring cosy living spaces, spacious dining areas, and fully equipped kitchens, our lodges provide all the comforts and amenities you need for a relaxing self-catering holiday. The bedrooms are just as comfortable and are accompanied by shower or bathrooms with a high standard of finish.
Outside, you can unwind on your decking and take in the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding countryside.
Camping pods
Escape to the countryside in one of our peaceful camping pods. Sleeping up to 2 adults and supplied with electric lighting and heating, these pods are not only perfect for a summer holiday, but also for a cosy autumn/winter hideaway when the evenings are crisp and the rural surroundings are glistening with frost and snow! The pods are surprisingly spacious, measuring approximately 7.5ft x 9ft and a headroom of 9ft. All our pods have ample parking space and their own picnic bench, allowing you to enjoy al fresco meals during your stay!
Fishing
If you’re looking for top-notch coarse fishing in a fantastic location, Bowland Lakes is the place to be. The site has three main lakes – Swanbrook Lake, which can accommodate up to 20 anglers; the Canal, which has 40 pegs; and the Serpentine Lake with 15 pegs. Additionally, there are smaller ponds, including Butterfly One and Butterfly Two, suitable for pleasure anglers, novice, and experienced fishermen.
